The biggest bombshell from the newly released Jeffrey Epstein texts isn’t just that he was talking to a Bill Gates adviser, it’s that he claimed to be hosting high-level meetings about critical international security issues.
That’s right, newly released text messages from 2017 show the disgraced financier claiming a major meeting concerning Israel, including discussions about “Money surveillance, offense,” was happening “at my house so I would know.”
According to Wired, these chilling exchanges, which the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform released on Wednesday, originated from the Epstein estate. They detail conversations between Epstein and Melanie Walker, a longtime associate who advised Bill Gates at bgC3, which is now Gates Ventures. The metadata indicates these iMessages were sent using an Apple computer and span months, beginning on January 27, 2017.
Epstein, a registered sex offender who had already pleaded guilty to state prostitution solicitation charges years earlier, clearly saw himself as a powerful intermediary capable of connecting the Trump White House to Bill Gates. Walker even told Epstein that Gates “wants to talk to you but his wife won’t let him,” adding that “He loves you.”

That’s a truly awful piece of context, especially since Melinda French Gates later cited Bill’s involvement with Epstein as a reason for their 2021 divorce. The pair even discussed ways to get Melinda to soften her view of the registered sex offender, including arranging a meeting with former Obama White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler.
Epstein used these conversations to project intimate knowledge of President Trump’s thinking and policy priorities immediately following the 2017 inauguration. If you wanted “inside baseball” on the administration, Epstein instructed Walker to tell Gates he was free to call any time.

He pushed a clear “America First” agenda, insisting that global health initiatives needed an “american component.” Epstein wrote that President Trump viewed issues like “malaria and polio not an american problem” and that “climate change and eboloa not a american problem.” This is a harsh assessment, but Epstein claimed Trump believed Gates should stop trying to “scare people .ike chicken little.”
Epstein emphasized that “Number of lives saved per dollar amount is not in donalds mind, it must be american lives saved.” He even cited the number of people killed in Chicago versus Afghanistan to reinforce the need to focus resources domestically.

Epstein stressed that Trump thought Gates should use his own money if he wanted to help non-American problems, noting that the wealth “was made here.” This focus on domestic issues extended to the VA, with Epstein noting that Trump was personally interested in a new medical group studying the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Because of this focus, Epstein pushed Walker to get Gates to talk to Tom Barrack, who was the chairman of President Trump’s 2016 inaugural committee, calling that meeting “the most important.” Walker suggested a deal where the administration would keep PEPFAR, a global HIV/AIDS program, in exchange for cyber cooperation. Epstein responded enthusiastically, confirming that deals were exactly “what he likes,” referring to President Trump.
He also warned Walker that Gates should be “careful very careful” because the president “could make an example of him” for using American dollars for foreign aid when America needed it. That’s a serious threat, and it shows the leverage Epstein thought he had over one of the world’s most powerful philanthropists.
The most audacious claim came on March 6, 2017, when Epstein and Walker discussed a potential meeting between President Trump and Gates later that month. After dismissing talks about Middle East peace as “boring and not happening,” Epstein claimed deep, proprietary knowledge about high-stakes international discussions. He asserted that a meeting about Israel funding and surveillance was taking place, clarifying, “It’s at my house so I would know.” Walker’s immediate reply was simple: “Omg INVITE ME.”
