Evil Ross Willox wiped down Emma Faulds' car after driving it back to her street the morning after she vanished.
The calculating former prison officer dumped Emma's blue BMW near to her flat on Fullarton Street in Kilmarnock on Monday, April 29, 2019 and proceeded to wipe down the interior of the motor.
The footage, captured by a neighbour's CCTV, shows Willox wiping the steering wheel before driving off again.
The video was taken the morning after the last confirmed sighting of Emma the previous day.
Willox denied murdering Emma and was found guilty by a jury at the High Court in Glasgow today.
Detective Inspector Peter Crombie, who was the deputy senior investigating officer on the Emma Faulds murder case, said: “Obviously in relation to the statement he [Willox] provided, our enquiry team started looking at his statement and looking at the movements and in particular looking at CCTV.
“We obviously had both their phone numbers so we started looking at cell site analysis in relation to mobile phones and part of the CCTV investigations revealed Emma’s car was captured on private CCTV coming back into her street in the early hours of Monday morning.
“Quite crucially it appeared that a male was driving that car and when he stopped the car at one point, he’s captured on CCTV; it looks like he’s wiping down the interior of the car and wiping down the steering wheel and the dashboard.
“A neighbour of Emma’s also was spoken to and he identifies a male parking Emma’s car up that morning and again crucially, Emma used the same parking spot religiously and this car was parked in a different area of the street across from her house.”
