The children of a tragic mum-of-two who was brutally murdered with a samurai sword have paid tribute to their 'adored' mother as her funeral is set to pass her home where she was killed.
Jean Eagers, a 57-year-old Ringsend native, died after receiving fatal wounds from the horror incident in her home in Hartstown on Father's Day.
Her son Dillon, 23, is understood to have tried to help his dying mam following the grizzly attack at Willow Wood at around 11.30am.
Gardai seized a number of weapons, including a samurai sword and a meat cleaver, which are believed to have been used in the fatal attack which is now a murder investigation.
Jean is described as being an adored mother to her son and 30-year-old daughter Michelle.
Her funeral cortege will pass her home at Willow Wood Grove at 12.15pm on Saturday.
The tragic mum's funeral details reads: "Eagers (née O’Farrell), Jean of Hartstown, Dublin 15 and formerly of Ringsend.
"Adored mother of Michelle and Dillon, daughter of the late Frank and Peggy and beloved sister of her brothers. Sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
