Children test positive for COVID-19 in both WA and SA

Western Australia and South Australia both recorded a child among their positive coronavirus cases today.

Victoria's chief health officer Professor Brett Sutton said Victorians had earned the right to "enjoy ourselves now" while taking the necessary COVID-19 precautions.

Here is a summary of what happened on Saturday:

  • Victoria recorded zero new cases. One was originally reported, but it was a false-positive
  • NSW recorded four new cases. Only one was a locally acquired case
  • Queensland did not record any new cases
  • Western Australia recorded one new case, and South Australia recorded four COVID-19 infections
  • A child was reported in both numbers Western Australia and South Australia
