Children's entertainer jailed after ordering his ex to answer her phone

A Liverpool children's entertainer has been jailed after sending his ex threatening messages.

Kyle Corrin, 20, demanded his ex-girlfriend, Katie Bishop, told him who she was with and ordered her to answer her phone.

The actor, who runs a mobile zoo and attends children parties, also threatened Gregory Smith in a voice message.

Corrin, of Simons Croft, Netherton, appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Thursday (August 20) charged with controlling behaviour and sending a threatening message.

The entertainer, who previously appeared in the ECHO after losing the pet skunk from his exotic zoo, was also charged with breaching a non-molestation order by attending his ex's home, which he was forbidden from doing.

The court was told the offences, which took place on September 24, 2019 and June 5 this year, put Corrin in breach of a previous suspended sentence.

The performer was previously handed a suspended jail sentence for possession of an offensive weapon on January 31 last year.

Corrin admitted the offences after a trial date was arranged.

On Thursday he was sentenced to serve his original 18-week sentence, and two 26-week sentences, totalling just over 16 months in jail.
