A birthday party was a total washout when the attendees arrived in the rain to find the venue locked.
Danielle Burnett had pre-paid for her two sons' birthday party at Planet Gamer in Newquay, Cornwall on Saturday.
They arrived on time, expecting a day of virtual fun with the eSports venues' 500 games, Cornwall Live reported.
There were no members of staff at Planet Gamer however, with no obvious access into the shop.
Danielle, from Cornwall, said: “We had booked and paid in full for a birthday party at Planet Gamer in mid-October for our two children, aged eight and 11.
“I had also gone in on October 28 to check the children’s party was ok as they had been ignoring my calls and messages, but the man advised me it was all ok and they would see us then.

“Our children were so excited about the party and had invited five friends each to attend.
“Sadly, when we arrived on Saturday in the pouring rain, the place was shut and completely abandoned.
"The guests and their parents arrived and despite us repeatedly trying to get hold of the shop via phone, nobody appeared and Planet Gamer has made no response to any calls or messages sent.
"Our two young children were absolutely distraught and we were left with a group of disappointed children stood in the rain in the middle of town with nowhere to go.
“Two children went home before we could find another location to take them.”
Danielle frantically rang around local businesses and managed to get the kids booked into Newquay Trampoline Centre.

She added: “The children had a lovely time there, but we had to use a credit card to cover the additional cost having already paid for the party at Planet Gamer Newquay.
“We are really concerned that it may have closed down and our money is lost. Who does that to children on their birthday? Not even to inform us.
“Our children were so excited they even made their own birthday cakes to share with their party friends.
“We choose to go to Planet Gamer to support local businesses in the area.
"As a working family that is separate with Christmas approaching, every penny is precious and we are now very worried that this will have a big financial impact on us.”
There have been no updates on the Planet Gamer Facebook page since the beginning of September.
The business has been contacted for comment.
