Children eat for just £1 at these Asda cafes in Glasgow

Schools are out for the summer holidays and with the weather picking up, chances are families will be hitting the road to spend some quality time together outside of the house. But as with most things these days, costs are rising and everything seems so much more expensive.

But instead of worrying about what to eat on your adventures, spend time figuring out which hotspots to tick off your list as Asda joins the latest list of supermarket cafes offering good cut-price meals for the kids. And this time, there's no minimum spend for the adults.

An Asda spokesman said: "We know that families can find the summer holidays tough and our customers are telling us that this year more than ever, they’re concerned about holiday hunger. With that in mind, we are so pleased to be able children’s meals for just £1, with no minimum adult spend, to ensure that those who would normally rely on a school meal aren’t left without."

What meals do Asda cafes serve?

While menus at Asda cafes appear to differ between stores, for children's meals you can expect the standard. Select menus available on the Asda cafe website show the children's menu to offer breaded chicken chunks or nuggets with chips and beans, fish fingers with chips and peas, mac n cheese with salad, pasta bolognese, pizza or all-day breakfast. The littlest of little ones are also included, with parents able to claim a free pouch of Ella's Kitchen baby food.

However, if sushi is more your family's thing, be sure to check selected chains of Yo! Sushi this week to grab a free bento box for kids under 10.
