Sarah Priddice, 35, currently weighs 13 stone and only has to lose one more stone before she can qualify for IVF treatment.
She said having a baby would be "fantastic" as she described how she would vary her diets every week to stay interested and keep up the weight loss.
The childminder started started losing weight in 2015 after she was told she only had a year to live if she stayed at 36 stone.
After six years of diets and a gastric bypass, Sarah has lost nearly two thirds of her weight.

Sarah, from Street, Somerset, said: "I'm still classed as obese but slowly I'm getting there.
"It was a huge wake up call. I lost six stone in six months, a stone a month doing a different fad diet each week to keep myself interested.
"I did the baked bean diet, the soup diet, the lettuce diet, the shake diet, which was the worst because I don't like milk.

"I don't really eat any takeaways, not fatty foods and cook everything from fresh."
On the Body Mass Index she is down from 78 to 31 but needs to reach 29 to qualify for IVF.
"Eight weeks ago I had skin removed from my tummy - lots of skin - they removed 9lbs of skin.
"But I'm so excited. It's amazing to think six years ago, I couldn't breathe, couldn't move very well and it was a real struggle and now I'm a different person.
"And to have a baby would be fantastic."
