Childhood favourites Dick and Dom to visit Nottingham

Children's TV presenters Dick and Dom are to launch a 20th anniversary tour to celebrate the success of their hit show, Dick and Dom in da Bungalow. As part of this year's tour, the quadruple Bafta award winners will visit Nottingham's Theatre Royal on March 19.

The tour - which is spread across 23 dates in the UK - will start on March 11 in Birmingham. It will finish on June 10 at Glasgow's O2 Academy.

Fans of Dick and Dom in da Bungalow will be delighted to be able to join the presenters as they command chaos on the stage. The live show should help to bring back good memories and introduce the duo to an entirely new audience.

A lot of the much-loved content from the original series will feature in the interactive performances, including favourite games such as two-word tango, musical splatues, the grunty song, fairly hairy fizzogs, pants dance and, of course, bogies. Participants will also have the chance to be splattered in the legendary creamy muck muck game.

Each audience member will have the chance to take part in the show and relive their childhood memories. Dick and Dom said: "20 years?! 20 years since those lift doors slid open and we welcomed you to da Bungalow!

"It's going to blow your mind as we take you on a nostalgia-fuelled trip to relive the best show ever to be on your telly! The most asked question we get is 'when are you going to bring da Bungalow back'. Well... it's back! See you there. P.S BOOOOGIES!," added the duo.

The show started on CBBC in 2002 before growing a huge audience of fans across the UK. It moved to the BBC One Saturday morning slot and ran for four years with five series.

It also made household names of Dick and Dom, played by Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood. Despite the popularity of the show, the duo decided to end on a huge note in 2006 but many celebrities featured in episodes over the years including Fearne Cotton, Adam Woodyatt, Chris Moyles, Tom Fletcher, Sara Cox, Will Mellor, Rupert Grint and Rachel Stevens

Dick and Dom have toured together before with sold-out shows in 2018, including the Edinburgh Festival which won an award for the best family show. The pair has made many other TV appearances, including Comic Relief, Weakest Link, Pointless and Celebrity Ghost Trip.
