Childhood favourite crisp flavour returns as shoppers celebrate 'comeback'

A popular crisp product that was taken off of shelves approximately 14 years ago has returned, and shoppers have shared their excitement at the news.

Scampi 'n' Lemon-flavour Nik Naks were originally sold in the 90s and 2000s, but were discontinued in 2008. They were replaced by the Pickle 'n' Onion flavour, which was itself taken off shelves a few years later.

Fans who have been clamouring for the Scampi 'n' Lemon flavour to make a return will be pleased to hear that they can now pick up the product at shops across the UK.

One shopper who spotted the snack while out shopping was quick to share the news online, Writing in the Food Finds UK Facebook group, they said: "THEY'RE BACK!- Found and tried the Scampi 'n' Lemon Nik Naks.

"I understand those that say they don't taste the same but I actually like them. Full of flavour and are delicious."

Before long, the post had received over 60 likes and almost 50 comments. Nik Nak fans gave their verdict on their return of the once-popular flavour.

One shared: "Love them their my favourite would love to know we're to buy them again"

"Love it," commented a second, while a third agreed: "I luv these".

"Still brilliant," declared a fourth.

One shopper called the flavour "brilliant" (Food Finds UK)

"They're back," commented a fifth after tagging another user.

However, others weren't so keen on the return of the Scampi 'n' Lemon Nik Naks, with one user posting: "Bit fishy for my liking lol".

"Naff, no taste to em, what a disappointment," argued a second.
