A childcare centre in Nottinghamshire has closed for at least a week after a worker there tested positve for coronavirus.
Bubble Wrap in Halam Road, Southwell, said the staff member was examined after a relative discovered they had the virus following a trip to Italy.
The centre provides care for children attending Lowe's Wong Infants & Junior School.
In a letter to parents, seen by Nottinghamshire Live, Bubble Wrap management said: "I'm so sorry to tell you that Bubble Wrap will be closed for at least the next 7 days due to a confirmed case of coronavirus for one of the staff.
"We have been in touch with the Department for Education and East Midlands Health Protection Team to inform them and clarify what our next steps are.
"All of our staff have now been in touch with 111 for personal advice."
The East Midlands Health Protection Team are beginning a risk assessment of Bubble Wrap which has been closed for at least seven days.
Bubble Wrap has urged all parents of children who attended between March 3 and 6 to contact 111.
The letter added: "We are devastated to bring you this news. We realise that this will cause worry and huge disruption at short notice and we are deeply sorry for this.
"We will continue to work with the relevant education and public health teams and keep you informed with any changes or further information. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions."
There are currently, as of 9am on March 10, seven people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Nottinghamshire, including one case in Southwell.
Nottinghamshire Live has attempted to contact Bubble Wrap for comment.
