Child taken to hospital after collision with a car in Reddish

A child has been taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car in Stockport.

Police were called to reports of a collision on Gorton Road in Reddish at 6.40am on Tuesday morning.

Officers attended and found a vehicle had collided with a pedestrian.

A 15-year-old boy sustained minor injuries and has been taken to hospital.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

No arrests have been made.

The road was closed for a short time but has now been reopened.

A number of bus routes were diverted, with delays of up to 25 minutes, but traffic is now returning to normal.
