Officers responded to a “large fight” involving about 15 people about 8:50 p.m. in the parking lot of Oak Lawn Community High School, 9400 Southwest Highway, Oak Lawn police said in a statement.

One minor, whose age and gender weren’t known, was hospitalized with three stab wounds, police said. The injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening.

It isn’t clear whether the child is a student at the school. A basketball game was scheduled at the school from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, according to a calendar on the school’s website.

Oak Lawn police are investigating. Anyone with information about the fight is asked to call police at 708-499-7721 or the tip line at 708-613-8477.
