Mohamed Januzi: Body 'belonging to four-year-old' refugee found in car in Germany

A body thought to belong to a four-year-old refugee abducted from outside a regstration centre in Germany has been found in a car.

Police originally feared the boy, Mohamed Januzi, had been kidnapped and released footage showing him leaving the centre in Berlin on 1 October.

A spokesperson said a 32-year-old suspect had been arrested after a body was found in his car. It was unclear whether he was the man seen on CCTV.

An autopsy will be conducted later today to formally identify the body and establish the cause of death. The man is being questioned in custody.

Mohamed was from Bosnia and Herzegovina and had been at the Lageso reception centre with his mother and siblings, Berlin authorities said.

A €10,000 reward had been offered for information on his disappearance.
