Child rushed to hospital after crash involving lorry in Springburn area

A child has been rushed to hospital following a crash involving a lorry in Glasgow north this morning.

The incident occurred at about 10.50am this morning on Springburn Way.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and the child was taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed the crash, with the road taped off to all vehicles and pedestrians.

He said: "We were called a 10.50am this morning to reports of a crash involving a lorry and a young child in Springburn Way, Glasgow.

"The child has been taken to hospital for treatment."

The extent of the child's injuries is not currently known at this time.
