Child rushed to hospital after being struck by car in Craigavon, Co Armagh

A child has been hospitalised after being struck by a car on Thursday afternoon.

The child, who is believed to be under three years old, was involved in the incident at Willowfield Crescent in Craigavon, Co Armagh after 1pm.

They were taken to the Craigavon Area Hospital, Belfast Live reports .

The exact circumstances of what happened have not yet been revealed.

An ambulance spokesman said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 13.19 on Thursday 25 July 2019 relating to an RTC at Willowfield Crescent, Craigavon.

"NIAS despatched two Emergency crews to the scene.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was transferred to the Craigavon Area Hospital."
