Child rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Fife

A child has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Fife.

The boy was rushed into an ambulance after the incident occurred around 10.30am this morning in Methil.

Police say the boy’s age and extent of his injuries are not yet known.

The road was closed while police and ambulance teams were at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "We were made aware shortly after 10.30am on Saturday, 3 October of a collision on Methilhaven Road, Methil involving a car and a pedestrian - boy, no age available.

“He has been taken to hospital.”
