A child rapist on the run was found living in Liverpool and now faces extradition.
Police discovered that George Constantin had been stay at an address on Altcar Avenue in Toxteth when he was arrested last week. He appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday, November 5, after being detained by officers.
The court heard that the 29-year-old had been wanted on a European Arrest Warrant from Romania to serve an outstanding sentence for rape and robbery. According to a wanted listing on the Romanian police website, Constantin - who did not oppose extradition and was remanded into custody - was sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison for sexual offences against a 14-year-old child in 2014.
