Little boy in serious condition after horror house attack by pack of dogs in Dublin

A little boy has been viciously mauled by a pack of aggressive dogs in west Dublin.

The eight year old boy was seriously injured from the horrific incident.

It's understood the child was suddenly attacked by Rottweilers at a house near Tallaght around 4pm.

The boy was taken to Tallaght hospital with serious injuries and has since been rushed to Children's Health Ireland in Crumlin.

The terrifying attack took place at 4pm near Saggart.

A garda spokesman said: "Today Sunday 22nd March at approximately 4pm, a male child (8) was seriously injured following a reported attack by a number of dogs at a house in the Tallaght area.  

"The child was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries and has since been removed to Children's Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin."

Gardai said the dogs have been confiscated and an investigation is underway.
