A child has been killed in an incident involving a Peloton treadmill with parents being warned to keep children away from the equipment.
Peloton CEO John Foley said the "tragic accident" involved the company's Tread+ running machine.
He said he was only aware of a few incidents in which children had been hurt using the make of treadmill, but said all the company's products are made with "safety in mind".
He added: "To prevent accidents, please take care to review and follow all the safety warnings and instructions that we provide.
"Keep children and pets away from the Peloton exercise equipment at all times."
No further details have been released in relation to the incident or the child who was killed.

"While we are aware of only a small handful of incidents involving the Tread+ where children have been hurt, each one is devastating to all of us at Peloton, and our hearts go out to the families involved," Mr Foley said in an email to owners of the Tread+ on March 18.
The Tread+ includes a motorised slat belt, as well as the signature Peloton screen, allowing users to follow training videos and virtual workouts.
It can reach speeds of up to 12.5 miles per hour.
The machine has a two horsepower motor, which is somewhat smaller than other treadmills in the same price range.
It is also significantly heavier than other widely available treadmills for home use at around 455 pounds, according to the Peloton website.
In a separate statement, Peloton said: "There are no words to express the shock and sadness everyone at Peloton feels as a result of this terrible tragedy.
"Out of respect for the family and their privacy, we won’t be sharing any additional information."
