Child in grave condition after being rescued at Rainbow Beach Park

The 5-year-old girl was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in grave condition.

A 5-year-old girl is in grave condition after she was rescued from the lake at Rainbow Beach Park on Tuesday, Chicago police said.

She was found unresponsive in the water at about 8:40 p.m. in the 3100 block of East 77th Street, police said.

A female witness pulled her to shore, and the girl was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, police said.
