A child was found miles away from their home by alert police officers.
British Transport Police said the missing child was found at Southport train Station, after last being seen at their care home.
The age of the child has not been disclosed, but the force said the young person was found at the station after going missing in Wigan.
BTP said the child has since been reunited with care home staff.
It tweeted to say: "Officers from Southport LPT have this morning found a child at Southport Station, whom had been reported missing from the Wigan area.
