Child found after police stop car speeding at 90mph in Bolton

Greater Manchester Police road officers pursued a Ford Fiesta ST through Bolton red lights and traffic at speeds in excess of 90mph in the early hours of Saturday, September 18.

Unable to lose the tailing officer, the driver eventually pulled over and a young child was found in the car. The driver was subsequently arrested for dangerous driving and child neglect.

GMP Traffic later tweeted: "The driver was found to be a provisional licence holder with no insurance who simply just didn't want to stop!

"He's now at Bury custody awaiting interview and the child was safeguarded with relevant referrals made."
