A little boy has died of covid complications in a Dundee hospital.
The youngster was aged between one and four and coronavirus was listed as ‘a contributory factor’ in his death.
It was not the underlying cause.
The death was recorded in weekly data provided by the NRS - National Records of Scotland.
Their teams pull together statistics on deaths across Scotland including the age, sex and location of victims.
It also includes very basic details about what led to their deaths.
Just last December we told how a baby girl under one-year-old became Scotland's youngest coronavirus victim since the start of the pandemic.
The girl died somewhere in the country between December 14 and 21, according NRS statistics at the time.
Records show the tragic tot was heart-breaking less than a year old when she died.
The previous youngest Covid-19 victim in the country was at least 15-years-old.
