A child has died after a horror crash on the Central Coast Saturday morning.

Police and emergency services rushed to the scene on Fagans Road at Lisarow after reports a Nissan X-Trail had collided with a power pole. The child, tragically, died at the scene.

The driver, a man believed to be aged in his 40s, was freed from the vehicle and airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition. A second child was airlifted to The Children's Hospital, Westmead, in a serious condition.

A crime scene has been established with officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attending.

Fagans Road remains closed between Woodview Ave and The Ridgeway. Drivers have been told to avoid the area.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing, police said. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Anyone with information about the incident, which police say occurred around 9.15am, has been urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
