Young performer Ethan Higgins amazed the Britain's Got Talent judges with his energetic dance moves - but he also raised laughs by dishing out some backchat to David Walliams.
Asked by father-of-one Simon Cowell what he'd do with the prize money if he won the ITV talent show , Ethan replied: "I'd buy my mummy and daddy a house down the country and I'd get myself something."
But when children's author David asked him "would you buy any of my best selling books?" he replied with a blunt "no."
"I love you," beamed Simon, giving him the thumbs-up as Little Britain comic David reeled back in his seat and pretended to look annoyed.
Funnyman David's books, which have been translated into 53 languages and sold over 25 million copies worldwide, include The Boy In The Dress, Gangsta Granny, Mr Stink and Fing.
After the cheeky diss, Ethan won the panel over on the ITV talent show with his high-energy routine to the 1991 dance track Get Ready For This by 2 Unlimited.
