Child and two adults taken to hospital after three-car crash on M77

A child and two adults were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following a three-car crash on the M77 yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to the scene as traffic queued back onto the M8 Junction 22. The road was partially blocked for some time.

Although taken to hospital as a 'precaution', no injuries were life-threatening, it is reported.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were made aware of a crash involving three vehicles on the M77 southbound near junction one around 3.35pm on Wednesday, 6 January.

“Two adults and a child were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as a precaution."
