A child has been airlifted to hospital following an incident on a rollercoaster at a theme park.
Witnesses at Lightwater Valley theme park in North Yorkshire claim they saw they boy fall from the Twister ride.
He allegedly fell on a 'fast part' near the camera used for souvenir pictures of riders.
According to The Mirror, unconfirmed reports say that a young boy fell 'face down about 20-30ft'.
An air ambulance landed nearby and flew the boy to Leeds General Hospital for treatment.
A witness said on Twitter: "Just saw a kid fall off the Twister rollercoatser.
"As it went down the fast bit towards the ‘souvenir’ camera he slide out and over top of carriage. Fell face down about 20/30 feet to ground."
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement: "Police were called to reports of a medical incident involving a child at Lightwater Valley theme park near Ripon at 11.30am today.
"Officers are currently at the scene. Further updates will be provided when available."
Images from the incident show emergency services and rescue workers at th theme park.
The age and nature of the child's injuries have not been released.
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement: "Police were called to reports of a medical incident involving a child at Lightwater Valley theme park near Ripon at 11.30am today.
"Officers are currently at the scene. Further updates will be provided when available."
Lightwater Valley theme park is located in Rippon, North Yorkshire and has "35 family rides, including the longest rollercoaster in Europe," according to its social media.
