Child airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital after dog attack

A child was airlifted to Liverpool's Alder Hey hospital following a dog attack in North Wales this afternoon.

According to NorthWalesLive it happened at a property in the Mynydd Isa area of Flintshire at around 4.30pm.

There were reports of a lot of police activity at the scene and the Wales Air Ambulance was called.

North Wales Police (NWP) said officers were carrying out inquiries.

A NWP spokesman said: "North Wales Police and the Air Ambulance were called to a property at Mynydd Isa around 4.45pm following an incident involving a dog attack.

"Police are carrying out house to house enquiries in the area."

A Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) spokeswoman said: "We were called at 4.30pm and a casualty was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital."
