Child 'abduction bid' in Falkirk sees police arrest and charge man

A man has been charged in connection with an alleged attempt to abduct a child in Falkirk.

Police confirmed the 29-year-old had been arrested following an incident in Hallglen, Falkirk on Saturday, August 15.

He is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court today.

Chief Inspector Chris Stewart, Falkirk Area Commander, said: "We can confirm a man been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted abduction in Falkirk.

"The incident happened in the Hallglen area on Saturday, 15 August, 2020.

"The 29-year-old is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff court on Monday, 17 August, 2020."
