A five-year-old child has been hit by a car outside a primary school.
Merseyside Police received a call just after 4.40pm following reports of an incident on Rectory Road in Garswood. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a five-year-old chid had been hit by a car outside Rectory C of E Primary School.
The driver of the car has stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made. The force has confirmed the child suffered slight injuries in the crash.

The boy was taken to hospital to be checked over by police officers. Traffic on the road is struggling in both directions with emergency services remaining at the scene.
