Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill, RB Damien Williams set to return to practice

The Kansas City Chiefs are getting a bit healthier as the season moves along.

They’ll see some familiar faces returning to practice on Wednesday with WR Tyreek Hill and RB Damien Williams set to get some work in.

“Tyreek (Hill) will get out there and move around a little bit,” Reid said during his Wednesday press conference. “We’ll see how he does. Damien Williams will do what he can do out there too. We’ll just see how they do.”

Hill is recovering from a very serious sternoclavicular dislocation injury suffered in Week 1. He’s been anxious to get back on the field and it’ll be interesting to see if he participates in contact drills at all this week. Williams, on the other hand, is recovering from a knee contusion suffered in Week 2. He’s been out the past two weeks with this particular injury.

Exactly what they’ll each be able to do and how much they’ll be able to participate remains to be seen. I’d expect both players to be eased into practice with things ramping up as the week goes on. That’s typically how it works when players return from injury.

Reid was noncommital on whether either player would be available to play against the Colts.

“We’re just going to see what they do out here,” Reid said.

We’ll just have to monitor their progress at practice as the week goes on. How each player and their respective injury responds to practice early in the week will be crucial in terms of getting on the field.
