The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t sent a rookie to the NFLPA’s annual Rookie Premiere event in Los Angeles since Patrick Mahomes in 2017. That’s about to change with the 2019 Chiefs draft class. Second-round pick Mecole Hardman has been invited to attend the 2019 NFLPA Rookie Premiere event according to NFLPA’s latest press release. He’s listed among the 40 players invited to the event, who are deemed the NFL’s next wave of stars.
Beginning on May 16 players will be in Los Angeles to start to learn about the business side of the NFL, including endorsements and brand management. They’ll also take part in some iconic moments including a trading card photo shoot for Panini America, and a player jersey reveal sponsored by Fanatics.
Players will also have an opportunity to meet and collaborate with the following sponsors and brand partners:

The NFLPA will also get an opportunity to host a brief seminar on what the union offers NFL players. This is an extremely useful resource to new NFL players who are just entering the league. They might be naive to how some things work in the business world of the NFL and with the NFLPA.
