Chiefs vs. Packers preseason Week 4 pre-game Injury Report

The Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers are set to face off in Week 4 of the 2019 preseason.

It’s the final game of the season, which means both teams will likely rest the majority of their starters. We won’t list those players here, however, there are still some players on both teams that won’t play due to injury. There is no official inactive list during the preseason, so these are players who have been dealing with injuries or have been unofficially ruled out by their respective teams.

Here are the players who are not expected to play for the Chiefs:

  • DE Tim Ward
  • LB Darius Harris
  • WR Gehrig Dieter
  • CB Michael Hunter
  • TE Deon Yelder
  • DE Breeland Speaks
  • QB Chad Henne

Early in the practice week, Dieter did some solo work. It’s the only progress he’s seen since suffering a back injury early in training camp. Andy Reid said he wouldn’t play this week, but they’d have to see where he’s at following the game. Hunter is dealing with a groin injury and Yelder an ankle sprain. Henne suffered a fractured ankle and recently had surgery. Speaks also had surgery, but on his knee after suffering a sprain and meniscus injury.

Here are the players who are not expected to play for the Packers:

  • WR Equanimeous St. Brown
  • LB Curtis Bolton
  • CB Kabion Ento

Both St. Brown and Bolton suffered injuries against the Raiders in last week’s mess in Winnipeg. I don’t expect either player to suit up for the Packers. Ento, a promising young corner, has been dealing with hamstring injuries.

We’ll be sure to update you here if any other players are ruled out ahead of kickoff.
