Chiefs TE Travis Kelce says offense is improving chemistry weekly

The start of the 2023 season for Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce has been a roller coaster, but it’s trending upward as the weeks have progressed. Nagging Injuries, the team offense at times in a slump, and his personal life have made the first six weeks unique.

Kelce continues to focus on the field, despite the outside noise, posting big games recently. He spoke candidly with reporters during Friday’s press conference about the offense improving chemistry weekly.

“I see us moving in the right direction,” Kelce explained. “To be honest, I mean, we’re not putting up the points that we want. But at the same time we got good direction on where we can clean things up and where we can move forward. And that’s the biggest thing because we got guys that are finding their roles that are getting more comfortable into their roles.

It’s just gonna keep going from there guys, every single week, you see them flying around a little bit faster in practice, attacking the ball a little bit differently. And all that is going to translate into the game as long as we just keep working our tails off like we have been.”

Kelce hauled nine catches for 124 yards in Week 6’s victory over the Denver Broncos. The performance marked his 34th game with 100-plus yards since 2016.
