The Kansas City Chiefs have suffered an injury during the Week 16 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After a two-yard run in the third quarter, second-year RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire came out of the game with a shoulder injury. A defender landed on top of him and drove the shoulder into the ground. Shortly after he was seen with the training staff, being escorted to the locker room holding his shoulder in a way that makes you think this could be a significant injury.
The team announced shortly after that he’d be ruled questionable to return with a collarbone injury.

Edwards-Helaire has nine carries for 27 yards and a touchdown run on the day. He’s also caught one pass for four yards.
With a 30-0 lead over the Steelers, the concern isn’t so much about Edwards-Helaire coming back to this game, but about the future. Should this be a significant injury, the Chiefs will be looking at Darrel Williams and Derrick Gore to carry the load for the remainder of the regular season and into the playoffs.
