Chiefs QBs visit Kansas City Regional Police Academy

The Chiefs’ Community Caring Team was out and about in Kansas City again on Tuesday. After the team recently visited a pediatric care unit, the quarterbacks for the Chiefs took a visit to the Kansas City Regional Police Academy in celebration of National Police Week.

Patrick Mahomes, Chad Henne and Chase Litton spent some time chatting and working with law enforcement officers. They participated in several different demonstrations and watched some others, including a SWAT team exercise, bomb and arson training, a K-9 demonstration and a driver training course.

One of the demonstrations that quarterbacks participated in was a door breach scenario. The Athletic’s Nate Taylor captured this cool video of Litton using what police refer to as an “Enforcer” to knock open a door. Check it out:

It certainly looked like Litton was having a good time with that. Mahomes, of course, was enjoying himself too. The Kansas City Star’s Brooke Pryor caught him wearing a full suit of police riot gear including a flak jacket and helmet.

The quarterbacks also got to check out some of SWAT’s arsenal of firearms. Mahomes seemed to really enjoy the scope on the rifle in the picture below.

Luckily this visit was well supervised and Brett Veach-approved. It seemed like an enjoyable time for everyone involved, including Kansas City’s finest. They even got to take a picture with the MVP.
