Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes working with his receivers ahead of training camp

Unlike some other teams across the league, the Kansas City Chiefs have yet to report for their training camp.

Everyone will be in St. Joseph, Missouri for training camp a week from today, on Friday, August 26. With a week to go, some players got a little antsy and wanted to get a head start on the festivities.

According to Patrick Mahomes’ instagram story, he gathered with his top receivers and threw the ball around today. His video shows a very tired looking group of receivers including Tyreek Hill, Demarcus Robinson, Sammy Watkins, Gehrig Dieter and rookie WR Mecole Hardman. It seems like they ran some routes for Mahomes on this hot summer day in Kansas City. The video that he captured seems to have come after the workout before everyone departed.

One of the other people in attendance is former Chiefs video guru Billy Quach, who is currently a freelance director, videographer and photographer. He’s been following some Chiefs players around this offseason and documenting the work they’ve put in. He’s captured offseason work from Chris Jones, Tyreek Hill and more. Here are a few snapshots that he shared from today.

Quach will be posting some video of the workouts later today, which we’ll share with you, because he’s incredibly talented.

It’s always nice to see players motivated and working together when it isn’t required of them. Anything extra that they put into this offseason could potentially be that little something that pushes this group over the top in 2019.
