Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes continues to lead the NFL in Pro Bowl fan voting. He originally had the lead with 143,355 votes, but he’s now extended the lead with 206,525 according to the NFL’s most recent update. Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is hot on his tail with around 3,000 fewer votes, narrowing the lead from the original update.
Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (185,218) and Chiefs DT Chris Jones (93,564) also lead their respective position groups in fan voting for the AFC conference. Kelce’s number of votes is good for the fifth-most of any player in the NFL.
Tyrann Mathieu, who led fan voting at the AFC’s strong safety position with over 70,000 votes in the first update from the NFL, has fallen behind Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer. According to the latest update, Poyer leads the AFC at that position with over 102,000 votes.
The Chiefs have a total of 27 players up for selection to the Pro Bowl this year. Keep in mind that a game won’t be played due to COVID-19, but they’re still voting on players due to incentives and the like. The NFL plans to have a Madden Tournament among players in lieu of an actual game this year.
Pro Bowl voting is still open for a few more weeks. You can vote for your favorite players on NFL.com until Thursday, December 17. You can also now vote on Twitter. All you need to do is tweet the first and last name of the player, the player’s official Twitter handle, or a hashtag including the player’s first and last name along with the #ProBowlVote hashtag.
