Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews kept the due date secret, but now they’ve officially welcomed their baby girl into the world.
Both Mahomes and Matthews took to Instagram to announce that Sterling Skye Mahomes arrived on Friday, February 20th at a healthy six pounds and 11 ounces. They both shared the same picture of the little one, seemingly grabbing onto Mahomes’ finger.

It’s been a tough year for Mahomes given the challenges of all the COVID-19 restrictions, with an emphasis on keeping Matthews and his unborn baby girl safe. Now, he gets to spend the offseason navigating a whole new set of challenges. The ones that come with being a girl dad, of course. Rest assured that he’s up to the challenge and very excited about it.
