While they are certain to be thankful for the much-needed time off, the Raiders’ win on Thursday leaves them with plenty of work to do to stay in the lead with just six games remaining this year.
QB Patrick Mahomes seemed unphased by the circumstances surrounding the NFL’s Thanksgiving schedule and its implications for the AFC standings, posing for pictures with his fiancée and daughter that was posted to social media in celebration of Thursday’s holiday.

Family and football go together like mashed potatoes and gravy, especially on such a special day as Thanksgiving. Speculation remains as to what the spread looked like at the family’s gathering, but with Patrick Mahomes in the mix, it is a fair assumption that ketchup was involved in one way or another.
The Chiefs’ next matchup will be against the Denver Broncos on December 5th, just three weeks from Christmas, which is sure to be a special time for the first-time dad. Fans are certainly hoping that Kansas City can secure another Super Bowl berth this season. Ideally, the time off this past week will ensure the team is well rested for their final push for the postseason.
