Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes featured on NFL combine banners

“The future starts here.”

Those are the words printed across the banners draped around Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indianapolis Convention Center, where the NFL Scouting Combine is set to begin.

A few new players are being marketed as the future of the NFL, and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is one of them. The banners show him in his combine gear and suited up in full pads as the QB of the Chiefs. He’s joined by Giants running back Saquon Barkley. Take a look at the tweet from Chiefs team reporter BJ Kissel:

Mahomes has quickly become one of the biggest success stories in the NFL, and the league is taking every opportunity to market him as such. People may often forget, but Mahomes was among the top performers at the NFL combine in 2017, though his future with the Chiefs began well before they got to view him in Indy.

So Chiefs Kingdom, how does it feel to have your quarterback portrayed as the future of the NFL?
