Chiefs players of the game Week 3 vs. Ravens

The Kansas City Chiefs improve their season record to 3-0 as they beat the Baltimore Ravens 33-28.

The Chiefs offense still seems unstoppable while the defense is showing a few signs of improvement, making the Chiefs one of the most feared teams in the NFL. Here are the Chiefs players of the game from Week 3:

Offensive Player of the Game: QB Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes does it again as he puts up 374 yards passing and three touchdowns. It’s impressive how much Mahomes continues to put up career numbers week after week even without some of the most important players on the offense with Tyreek Hill and Eric Fisher missing.

The Ravens defense is respected across the league. Mahomes connected with eight different players through the air. Some other guys have stepped up but he is what makes this team go. It shows that Mahomes doesn’t just rely on Hill to make big plays. He isn’t afraid to get other players involved making it that much harder for defenses to attack this offense and shut it down.

Defensive Player of the Game: DE Emmanual Ogbah

Emmanuel Ogbah was really impressive this week. He notched 1.5 sacks against one of the most elusive quarterbacks and toughest offensive lines in the NFL. Ogbah made some big plays today and it if weren’t for him being able to get into the backfield multiple times throughout the game it could have been a completely different outcome.

It great to see Ogbah made a big impact on the team, as he was a key trade acquisition this offseason. He required no draft capital and just former Chiefs’ draft pick Eric Murray in trade to the Cleveland Browns. He currently leads the team in sacks with 2.5 on the season. He is turning into a great pickup for the Chiefs and could continue to be one of the best players on the defensive side of the ball.

Special Teams Player of the Game: WR Mecole Hardman

Although the stats aren’t there Mecole Hardman had probably the biggest play on special teams today. The Ravens did a dropkick on their last kickoff to try to throw the Chiefs off guard and get the ball back. Hardman was able to call the fair catch and make the play helping the Chiefs seal the win against the Ravens.
