Chiefs players attend USA vs. Panama CONCACAF Gold Cup match

Several Kansas City Chiefs players took to Children’s Mercy Park last night in order to support the U.S. Men’s National Team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup match against Panama. The U.S. Men’s National Team is undefeated when playing in Kansas City at Children’s Mercy Park, and the top spot in the quarterfinal rankings was up for grabs. It made for an exciting high stakes match between budding rivals.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, WR Gehrig Dieter and TE Travis Kelce all got out to see a different type of Football being played. They took in the game along with a roaring and colorful crowd, wearing united states gear from head to toe.

Mahomes was the most patriotic of the Chiefs players, wearing a full custom U.S. Men’s National Team kit.

The full crew left to right includes Gehrig Dieter, Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Matthews, Jackson Mahomes, Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce. Kelce was also seated next to Kansas City’s new mayor Quinton Lucas as seen in the tweet below.

It’s a beautiful sight to see some of Kansas City’s finest representing the Chiefs and the city on a worldwide stage.

The lone goal during the match came from Jozy Altidore, who scored on an amazing bicycle kick. It got the whole crowd out of their seats.

That includes Mahomes and company who were clapping and jumping around. They wouldn’t be the only fans cheering tonight, though.

I know we all love Patrick Mahomes, but let’s try to not be weird about it folks.
