Chiefs issue statement on NFL decision not to suspend WR Tyreek Hill

The NFL announced today that Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill would not receive a suspension after an investigation into child abuse allegations.

The Chiefs organization then put out an official statement regarding the league’s decision:

We have been informed of the decision by the National Football League that, based on the available evidence, the league has not found that Tyreek Hill violated the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. Based on the information provided to us by the league, we have decided it is appropriate for Tyreek to return to the team at the start of training camp. The club fully supports the conditions for return laid out by the league and will continue to monitor any new developments in the case. We are glad to welcome Tyreek back to the team and look forward to the start of training camp next week.

The Chiefs lifted their suspension of Hill, which had been in place since news broke in March of allegations of child abuse. Now, Hill will be permitted to rejoin the team and participate in training camp, which begins next week. The team prefaced their decision with the notion that they’d continue to monitor any emerging information regarding Hill’s case. For now, Hill will be back with the team at training camp and available to play this season.
