Chiefs LG Andrew Wylie suffers ankle injury against Colts

This makes for the fifth injury that has caused a Kansas City Chiefs player to leave the game.

Staring LG Andrew Wylie suffered a bit of friendly fire from RB Darrel Williams when the Chiefs were backed up on their own goal line in the third quarter. Williams was trying to exit from the pocket on a route release and got tangled up with Wylie’s lower body, banging him on the ankle pretty good.

Wylie was down on the field and the training staff came out to attend to him. He was taken back to the locker room for further examination during the game. The Chiefs currently have ruled him as questionable to return to the game.

Here’s a run through all the injuries the Chiefs have dealt with so far in this game:

  • WR Sammy Watkins OUT (Hamstring)
  • LB Anthony Hitches OUT (Groin)
  • DT Xavier Williams OUT (Ankle)
  • DT Chris Jones OUT (Groin)
  • LG Andrew Wylie QUESTIONABLE (Ankle)

Oh and don’t forget that Patrick Mahomes is basically the walking wounded out there right now, hobbled by an ankle injury that seemingly has flared up again. At this rate, the Chiefs need this game to finish up so they can end the week without any more attrition.
