Chiefs in deep talks with 49ers on potential Dee Ford trade

Talks between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers regarding outside linebacker Dee Ford are intensifying.

The two teams have been in talks for weeks, but it now appears that a deal could be struck as soon as tonight. The Chiefs placed the franchise tag on Ford back on March 2 and have been rumored to be shopping him for at least a second-round pick.

The 49ers currently own the No. 2, 36, 67, 104, 176 and 212 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. K.C. is likely pushing for No. 36 and possibly another later pick in addition. Don’t rule out a player-for-player trade either.
