Chiefs free agent CB Kendall Fuller posts heartfelt goodbye to Chiefs Kingdom

Former Chiefs cornerback Kendall Fuller posted a heartfelt goodbye to the Chiefs Kingdom on social media.

While technically not yet official, Fuller has agreed to terms to return to the Washington Redskins. No teams are allowed to announce signings until players have taken a physical with the team, and since NFL players are prohibited from entering club facilities through March 31, many teams are refraining from announcing their free-agent deals as official.

Make no mistake, Fuller is on his way out of Kansas City. On Wednesday, the native of Baltimore, Maryland and Virginia Tech graduate shared a message on social media confirming his move back to Washington. He’ll return to his home state and the team that drafted him back in 2016.

“Beyond blessed and thankful for my time and support in Kansas City,” Fuller wrote on Instagram and Twitter. “Created memories of a lifetime winning a championship with Chiefs Kingdom and I am forever grateful!”

The Chiefs Kingdom joined in, wishing Fuller well in his new journey, and thanking him for his contributions during his time in Kansas City. Specifically, many recalled his game-sealing interception against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.

Fuller’s return to Washington will have him coming full circle in his career. It’s something few players rarely get a chance to accomplish. He’ll compete to become a Super Bowl champion, once again, but this time in the NFC.
