Chiefs’ Frank Clark to pay for funeral of 4-year-old killed in Kansas City

Kansas City Chiefs defensive end is paying for the funeral of LeGend Taliferro, a 4-year-old killed while sleeping in Missouri Monday.

Clark posted Friday the youngster was #TheRealLeGend.

Life Line Financial Group told 41 Action News the Kansas City Chiefs defensive end had been in contact with Taliferro’s mother, Charron Powell, about helping cover the costs.

Taliferro was shot while was sleeping. Witnesses said someone opened fire on his family’s apartment. Police are still seeking help.

The boy was taken to a hospital but died.

LeGend will be laid to rest on July 10.

At the first Chiefs game of the season against the Houston Texans, Clark said he will play in LeGend’s name.
