Chiefs FB Anthony Sherman showed up to training camp driving Clint Bowyer’s race car

Extravagant entrances at NFL training camps are definitely still a thing, and they’re getting even more outrageous, like Jalen Ramsey’s armored truck ride or Antonio Brown’s hot air balloon trip.

Kansas City Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman drove himself to training camp Friday, but he still had a grand entrance.

Sherman, a huge NASCAR fan, actually might have had the best entrance of all so far because he showed up to training camp driving NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer’s No. 14 Ford. It’s obviously not the actual car he’ll be driving this weekend at Pocono Raceway, but a show car definitely has the same effect.

Bowyer is from Kansas and a big Chiefs and Royals fan, so it’s no surprise he was happy to help orchestrate this entrance for Sherman.

Sherman also had a hilarious reason for wanting to show up in a NASCAR stock car:

“We’ve got a lot of young, young speedsters on the offense, and I’m an old guy now. So the only way I’m going to keep up with these young kids is to ride around [in a NASCAR car].”

And he explained that the fire suit they gave him did, in fact, have sleeves on them at one point. But, you know, it’s hot.
